Sietch · National Implants Registry
A quick guide to registering your clinic, verifying clinicians, and logging your first implant records.
Visit nationalimplantsregistry.com and click Login. You'll be taken to Auth0 to create your account using your work email.
After authenticating for the first time, you'll be prompted to complete clinic registration. You'll provide:
Only clinicians whose NPIs are on this list will be able to create records under your clinic's account. You can update this list later by contacting support.
Each time you log in, you'll be asked to enter your 10-digit NPI to begin a clinical session. This confirms which clinician is creating records during this session.
If your NPI isn't accepted, the clinic admin needs to add it to the authorized list.
From the dental hub, click New Entry. The form is in two halves:
Procedure Identity (left): Surgical date, patient SSN and DOB (used only to generate the cryptographic hash — never stored), and the patient consent checkbox.
Device Specification (right): Tooth number, UDI (scan or enter the device identifier), torque, lot, serial, clinical notes, and outcome status.
Click Verify after entering a UDI to confirm the device is in our catalog. You'll see the brand and size displayed if a match is found.
Click Add to Current Session to queue the entry. You can add multiple implants in one session — useful when placing several implants for the same patient on the same day.
Each entry in the session appears as a card below the form. Use the pencil icon to load an entry back into the form for editing, or the trash icon to remove it.
Nothing is permanent until you click Finalize & Index All. At that point, all entries in the session are committed to the registry.
From the dental hub, click Registry Search. Enter the patient's SSN and DOB — these are hashed the same way they were at creation and used to look up matching records.
If the patient has implants logged in the registry — by your clinic or any other — you'll see the device history including manufacturer, model, lot, placement date, and clinical notes.
Click Search Catalog from any record creation screen to look up devices by UDI, brand, or model. Useful for verifying you have the right device before logging.
Privacy reminder: Sietch never stores plain-text Social Security Numbers or Dates of Birth. These values are processed through a one-way cryptographic hash at the point of entry. Only the hash is transmitted to our servers, and your patient's identity cannot be recovered from it.
Is this really free?
Yes. Sietch is currently free for all clinics during our initial rollout. If our pricing model changes in the future, we'll communicate any changes well in advance.
What if I don't know the UDI for a device I'm placing?
The UDI is printed on the device packaging — usually as a barcode and a human-readable string. If you don't have it, you can still create a record with the brand and model but lookup functionality will be limited.
What happens when a device gets recalled?
When the FDA publishes a recall, Sietch automatically identifies affected records and notifies the originating clinic within 24 hours. The clinic uses its own patient records to identify and notify the patient directly.
Can a patient request their record be removed?
Records can be archived on clinic request. Email support@nationalimplantsregistry.com with the record ID.
Who do I contact for technical help?
Email support@nationalimplantsregistry.com. We aim to respond within one business day.
